About this event
Cuarteto Arod presents its interpretation of Joseph Haydn's Opus 76. The quartet seeks fidelity to both the spirit and the letter of the works while bringing contemporary vitality to its reading. The ensemble uses modern violins and bows inspired by instruments used in the eighteenth century, creating a technical balance between modern instruments and historical performance references. Opus 76 is placed in the context of Haydn's mature output and the historical development of the string quartet. Individual quartet movements and a separate cast list are not provided.
