About this event

The listing presents an 80-minute music concert titled “Arturo Chacón Cruz and Mariachi Gama 1000,” with the subtitle “100 Years of José Alfredo.” The proposal focuses on commemorating the centenary of José Alfredo Jiménez and his relationship with the Mexican popular songbook. The musical concept brings together tenor Arturo Chacón Cruz and Mariachi Gama 1000. The description presents the programme as a journey through songs associated with Mexican identity, moving from “El Rey” to “Camino de Guanajuato” and ending with “Si nos dejan.” The presentation is scheduled at the Explanada de la Alhóndiga de Granaditas in Guanajuato. The source materials do not publish a director, conductor, set designer, costume designer, lighting designer, choreographer, staging concept, or separate stage name; the production is documented as a concert rather than a staged opera or theatre work.
