Orquesta Moderna is a large-format big band presented by Rosino Serrano. The concert approaches jazz from a Mexican and Latin American perspective, placing jazz tradition in dialogue with new sonorities, colors and musical roots. The production is concert-based and has no stated staging, set, costume, lighting or choreography concept. Its program draws on the recent recording projects Alma, centered on Serrano's original compositions, and Coalescencia, a collaboration exploring piano and big-band writing through Alex Mercado's perspective. The program also includes arrangements and compositions inspired by Mexican jazz figures Enrique Nery and Eugenio Toussaint, as well as new readings of Mexican song classics associated with Armando Manzanero and Consuelo Velázquez. Guest artists are Gianluca Littera, Alex Mercado, Iraida Noriega, Francisco Lelo de Larrea and Fernando De Santiago.
