About this event

This is a 60-minute concert built around the Banda de Música del Estado de Guanajuato and a two-clarinet format. The Festival describes Angélica Retana as the project's artistic director and clarinetist and Philippe Cuper as a Paris Opera musician, with the project connecting French and Mexican musical perspectives. The program concept uses the titles "Levante" and "Alisio" as wind imagery. The source describes a contemporary musical language, short-form miniatures, and attention to rhythmic and timbral variety. Adalberto Tovar is listed as director, while the named participants include the State Music Band, Angélica Retana, Philippe Cuper, and Francisco Javier González Compeán.
