Juegos y evocaciones is a piano-duo concert built around a dialogue between the music of Conlon Nancarrow and György Kurtág. The program connects echoes of folk traditions, jazz, and popular music with rhythmic experimentation and the concentrated language of Kurtág. Amy Williams and Helena Bugallo perform four-hand transcriptions of nine Nancarrow pieces, moving from boogie-woogie energy to the intricate architecture of Nancarrow's multi-tempo studies. The program continues with selections from Kurtág's Játékok cycle and two new Microludes for Kurtág by Caspar Johannes Walter and Amy Williams. The event is an in-person concert with a running time of 80 minutes.
