LOIE FULLER:RESEARCH takes Loie Fuller's Serpentine Dance as its central research subject. The work returns to the history of dance, bodily memory, and artistic transmission without reconstructing a classic version. Ola Maciejewska examines the dance's mythology, contradictions, and elusive traces through the body, movement, image, and illusion. The production reimagines, reappropriates, and deconstructs historical material through layers of collective memory. Its principal design element is a dancing object associated with Fuller's dress, made from textile, bamboo sticks, sound, air, and the centrifugal force of the body.
