About this event

The production takes the roads to Shu, described as having a history of thousands of years, as its central subject. It draws on historical legends and cultural memories including the Five Strongmen who opened the road, Li Bing who tamed the waters, and Wen Weng who educated the people of Shu. Its artistic language uses poetic dance, contemporary choreography, and expressive stage aesthetics. Images of Bashu, including Jianmen Pass and Cuiyun Road, connect past and present and link the geography of mountains and rivers.
