About this event
Rosas danst Rosas is a contemporary dance production by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas. The work premiered in 1983 and is rooted in minimalist choreography. Repetition, accumulation and subtle variation transform everyday gestures into a formal physical language. Built for four female dancers, the work creates increasing physical and emotional pressure through repeated movement phrases, while persistence and exhaustion contrast with the musical score. The staging emphasizes the relationship between precise formal structure and theatrical presence rather than a narrative setting. Rosas is the company of choreographer and dancer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
