About this event
Aus der Tiefe is presented as a concert program of sacred music from Eastern Europe, not as a staged opera or theatre production. The music of Arvo Pärt, Henryk Górecki, and Alfred Schnittke is framed as an inner refuge where stylistic, religious, and geographical boundaries can be crossed. The program is performed by the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, conductor Peter Dijkstra, and organist Max Hanft. A 19:00 concert introduction precedes the 20:00 concert.
