About this event

This is a Level 3, two-day dance workshop for dancers aged 12–14 with 2–3 years of experience. Sydney Dance Company's listing credits Staff Sydney Dance as the instructor and presents four styles: ballet, lyrical, contemporary and improvisation. The teaching structure combines technical and expressive practice. Ballet provides classical technical work; lyrical develops expressive movement; contemporary introduces contemporary dance technique; and improvisation addresses creative movement and personal interpretation. The workshop aims to build technical foundations and creative expression rather than present a separately credited stage production. It forms part of Sydney Dance Company's Spring School Holiday Workshops, scheduled from 28 September to 9 October 2026. A showing for parents and families is planned at the end of the final day.
