About this event
Lotte de Beer directs the Volksoper staging. A 14-year-old boy draws the story, and watercolor-like comic imagery is projected into the performance space, making his imagination the visual route into Mozart's opera. Limited set elements and props are combined with costumes inspired by the drawings, animation and projected imagery. Christof Hetzer is responsible for stage design and illustrations, Roman Hansi for animation lead, Jorine van Beek for costume design and Alex Brok for lighting design. Peter te Nuyl is credited with dramaturgy and Roger Díaz-Cajamarca with chorus direction. The staging presents the opera as a coming-of-age story. A date-specific 2026/27 cast sheet was not found.
