About this event
This is a concert production rather than a staged opera or theatre work. It compares the musical styles of five Jewish composers, many of them Eastern European émigrés to the United States, during the early rise of the Jazz Age. The program presents Jazz Suite, Violin Concerto, Vigilae, Triad of Poems, Comedy for Orchestra in One Movement, and An American in Paris. Leon Botstein conducts and Mira Wang is the violin soloist. The Fisher Center performances will also be livestreamed on TŌNtube.
