The American Spirit is an orchestral concert presented by The Orchestra Now rather than an opera, play, or staged production. Gray is the artistic director of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra in Indiana, while White is a first-prize laureate of the Sphinx Competition and a founding member of the Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet.
