About this event

This is a single, unstaged sacred choral concert by Gloucester Choral Society in Gloucester Cathedral. The program combines Maurice Duruflé's Requiem, Louis Vierne's Messe Solennelle, and motets by Gabriel Fauré. The repertory-based presentation emphasizes the harmonic warmth and spiritual character of French sacred music, with Gloucester Cathedral providing the principal architectural and acoustic setting. Adrian Partington is the conductor and Jonathan Hope is the organist.
