About this event

This is a concert presentation of J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio by Gloucester Choral Society, performed in the nave of Gloucester Cathedral in Gloucester. Adrian Partington directs the performance. The primary event page does not describe a staged dramatic concept, separate stage, or operatic production framework. The published musical forces comprise the voices of Gloucester Choral Society together with brass and strings. The event page emphasizes bringing out the detail of Bach's Baroque writing. No separate stage director, designer, costume designer, lighting designer, choreographer, scenic concept, or additional production credit is identified. The available evidence supports a concert/oratorio presentation rather than a staged production.
