This is the second chapter of a concert series examining Mozart's connection with Italian composers. The stated focus is the development of Mozart's theatrical music, from his early works to the mature masterpieces, in relation to the influence of Italian opera and the operatic traditions of cities such as Venice. The production is presented as a concert by the Venice Music Project Ensemble with two named soprano participants: Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli as guest artist and Liesl Odenweller as soprano. The performance is scheduled at Scuola Grande dei Carmini in Venice. The cycle is supported by the Anne and Chris Flowers Foundation.
