About this event

This is an orchestral concert production presented by the Minnesota Orchestra at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Thomas Søndergård conducts, and Jon Kimura Parker appears as piano soloist. The program comprises selections from Grieg's Norwegian Dances, Hillborg's Piano Concerto No. 2, also identified as MAX Concerto, and Sibelius's Symphony No. 2. The event description notes that Hillborg's concerto was written for Emanuel (Manny) Ax and connects Sibelius's Second Symphony with the composer's time in Italy and Finland. No director, designers, choreography, theatrical staging, language, or subtitle system is identified.
