About this event

Byzantine Music Days is a four-day festival at the Greek National Opera Alternative Stage focused on genres, schools, traditions, and contemporary manifestations of Byzantine psaltic art. Artistic curator Zaharias Karounis brings together choral and solo chanting with opening talks related to each evening's liturgical or hymnological theme. The programs range from Christmas hymns and the Divine Liturgy to Holy Week, the Resurrection, and the All-Night Vigil.
