About this event

LOUNGE uses the word in its double sense: to lounge as to recline or rest, and a lounge as a shared space for relaxation. Framed as a 50‑minute duet for two bodies who identify as women, the piece explores rest, waiting, movement and being moved. The performers drift between active and passive forms of repose, using each other’s presence to probe their own physical sensations and the surrounding atmosphere. A recurring device is an “Invisible Lap Dance,” a chain of tiny, nearly imperceptible dances in which the gaze unsettles the usual split between giver and receiver. Eroticism and togetherness are intertwined with relaxation, so that comfort appears not as mere inactivity but as an active statement of femininity. Credits include music editing and mixing by Shaka Lion and Hinna Jafri, scenography by Yoav Admoni, lighting design by Thais Nepomuceno Veiga, styling and costumes by Mariana Benenge and Marga Alfeirão, and dramaturgy by Jette Büchsenschütz and Mateusz Szymanówka.
