About this event

A 75-minute music-theatre and dance production structured as an evening-long dance marathon, Chapters of Celebration centers on the celebrating body and builds a collective ‘museum of party’. Six choreographers — Michele Rizzo, Cherish Menzo, Lasseindra Ninja, Iker Karrera, Jeremy Nedd, and Toni Jodar — shape chapters where baroque dance intersects with ballroom, jazz, and rave. Wouter Deltour provides musical direction and composition, adapting the fifteenth-century Iberian theme La Folía into a contemporary sound world alongside electronic material by Deltour and Jesse Kanda, performed with B’Rock Orchestra. The visual and technical team includes Danielle van Riel and Meirhaeghe (scenography and light design), Pieter Chanterie (paintings), Eleni Ellada Damianou and Meirhaeghe (costume design), Anne van Es (stage manager), van Riel (light operator), and Roel Snellebrand (sound engineer).
