As In'n Häben (wie Im Himmel) – Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, Schwerin

About this event

As in'n Häben (Wie im Himmel) is a Low German stage adaptation of Kay Pollak’s Wie im Himmel. It is presented as a play with music by the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne of the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, in collaboration with the Schweriner Singakademie e.V., which provides the choral component. The text uses Jana Hellberg’s German translation and a Niederdeutsch version by Harald Weiler and Cornelia Ehlers. Adelheid Müther directs, with set design by Kathrin Kegler, costumes by Marie-Theres Cramer, and dramaturgy by Katharina Mahnke. Musical direction and accompaniment are by Nico Selbach, who also appears on stage as Holmer. The work’s profile combines a spoken-theatre adaptation, performance in Low German, and live choir participation. No alternate casts or special staging variations are specified for individual dates across the Putbus and Schwerin performances.
