A two-artist cello and piano recital featuring Elham Al Marzooqi (cello) and Sooyeon Jun (piano). The program is built around the expressive, song-like voice of the cello and the dialogue between cello and piano. There is no staging team or conductor; the focus is purely musical. Part I moves from Bach and Vivaldi to the first movement of Brahms’s E minor sonata. After an interval, Part II offers lyrical miniatures and song/cinema transcriptions by Bridge, Trowell, Schubert, Saint-Saëns, Rachmaninoff, Morricone, and Gershwin, highlighting stylistic contrast and the instrument’s singing quality.
