Conceived by Alexander Chernyshkov and Evarts Melnalksnis, this scenic composition unfolds within Chernyshkov’s Errortheater, a music‑theatre practice that deliberately provokes productive misunderstandings. Presented by the Institute of Music Theatre at KUG, the piece is framed as an opera operating through political satire and improvisation, using the concert situation itself as primary material rather than treating the stage as a sealed fiction. The score expands to include stage directions, backstage activity, stage technology, and the auditorium. Its musical fabric is a collage of genres and found sonic situations—ranging from Bach to synth‑pop—yielding a hybrid of composed music, staged action, and improvisatory procedures. The production is realized in cooperation with ORF musikprotokoll within the context of steirischer herbst ’26, with staging by Alexander Chernyshkov and Ingo Kerkhof, musical direction by Chernyshkov and Gerrit Prießnitz, and designs by Stephanie Ortner (assisted by Finn Schirl).
