Theater Ulm presents Fromental Halévy’s five‑act grand opera La Juive in French with German surtitles. The production frames the story through the lens of religious fanaticism and claims of supremacy, showing how hatred and incitement can escalate to lethal consequences. The curatorial text explicitly connects the opera’s themes to the ongoing visibility of antisemitism in contemporary society. Stage direction is by Marco Štorman, with GMD Felix Bender leading the musical forces. The design team features Theresa Isabella Malessa (set) and Julia Radewald (costumes).
