About this event
The opening program of the Maestro subscription is a three-part symphonic concert by the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra. It begins with Carl Maria von Weber’s Der Freischütz Overture, whose introduction the note links to nature imagery and the composer’s “forest music.” Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G minor, Op. 26, dedicated to Joseph Joachim, follows with Anton Sorokow as soloist. The evening concludes with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64, conducted by Anton Shaburov. No staged production elements (direction, design) are announced; the focus is purely orchestral.
