This is the first program of the 2026–27 Gál Károly Musical Evenings series, presented by the Miskolci Szimfonikus Zenekar at Zenepalota in Miskolc (start time 19:00). The concert is a three-part orchestral program: Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito — Overture, Mozart’s Horn Concerto in E-flat major, K. 447 (soloist: Varga Bálint), and Haydn’s Symphony No. 96 in D major (“Miracle”). Dubóczky Gergely conducts the entire program. The presenter’s note provides context on the “Miracle” nickname: the famous falling-chandelier anecdote actually belongs to Haydn’s Symphony No. 102, while the 1791 premiere of No. 96 in London was noted for eliciting exceptional enthusiasm.
