Discovery Workshops – Garsington Studios, Stokenchurch

About this event

Discovery Workshops is a series of one-off, participatory sessions presented by Garsington Opera for members of the local community to try different aspects of opera. The 2026/27 listing includes eight sessions across dance, backstage production arts, stage and lighting design, chorus staging, and singing, acting and performance. Dance in Opera explores storytelling through movement for families and young dancers. GO Backstage introduces costume, wigs, hair and make-up, props, lighting and stage management. Stage & Lighting Design includes practical prop-making and lighting experiments while introducing show design processes. Stage-a-Chorus stages a chorus scene alongside professional soloists, and Sing, Act, Perform builds a day company to work on movement, singing, drama and performance techniques with Garsington artists. No specific compositions, composers or named workshop leaders are listed.
