Melody Of Life – Gesamtschule Bremen-Ost, Bremen

About this event

Melody of Life is a Future Lab project by Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen rooted in the Osterholz‑Tenever district. Schoolchildren transform their experiences and feelings into songs and present them on stage with orchestral accompaniment. The 2026 event pages identify the project as a Future Lab production and credit Mark Scheibe as Artistic Director. Conceived in 2007, the format has seen 27 editions involving around 2,000 young people and nearly 500 original pieces across songs, anthems, ballads, grotesques, collages, and instrumentals. Preparation is collaborative: in the weeks before each show, Scheibe works with pupils and teachers to develop texts and music. Members of the orchestra and teachers support rehearsals and the stage presentation. The 2026 sources do not list individual works, running order, or additional production credits.
