Symphonic concert program by the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra, 2026 season, led by its music director Joachim Gustafsson (Sweden). The evening opens with Mozart’s motet Ave verum corpus, K. 618 (1791), a brief sacred work from the last months of the composer’s life. It continues with Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Concerto funebre for violin and string orchestra (1939–1940), conceived as an artistic response to the outbreak of World War II and premiered posthumously; the solo part is performed by Douglas Isasis, a violinist of the Bogota Philharmonic. The second half presents Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, “Emperor,” with Swedish pianist Niklas Sivelöv as guest soloist. The event doubles as a recording session for the AMC label (Amchara Classical, Sweden), making it both a public concert and a studio-style session. The orchestra performs under Gustafsson at the Leon de Greiff Auditorium of the National University of Colombia, the OFB’s traditional concert home for over four decades.
