About this event
Program curated by Philippe Jaroussky and the ensemble Artaserse around Antonio Vivaldi. The recital weaves together the Venetian composer's two major sacred works — the Stabat Mater RV 621 and Nisi Dominus RV 608 — with a selection of opera arias from his stage works. Presented without interval and lasting about 1h15, the evening offers an intimate immersion in Vivaldi’s spiritual and theatrical world, with the countertenor voice highlighted as an instrument of emotion. The program is part of Festival Ouverture!, the season-opening focus of Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, in partnership with the City of Marcq-en-Barœul.
