About this event

Echoes (Echos) is a contemporary dance-theatre work created by Frank Fannar Pedersen and Javier Rodríguez Cobos in close collaboration with the dancers of the Tanzkompanie St. Gallen. The production fuses concert and dance performance, with live musicians appearing on stage for the first time alongside the company. Central to the sound world are vocalist and overtone-singing pioneer Christian Zehnder and his son, electronic musician and sound designer Till Zehnder. The piece explores the echo as sound, memory, and connection, drawing on alpine and electronic textures, the human voice, and kinetic energy. Sound reaches the audience from many directions, immersing them in a primal space where rhythm, breath, and community become palpable. Eschewing linear narrative, the work invites intuition, deep-seated power, and unbridled expression to chart their own course. Premiered in St. Gallen on 14 March 2026, Echos arrives in Bonn for its German premiere in November 2026.
