About this event
New World Symphony presents a single chamber music concert tracing the lineage of Baroque style across three centuries, performed by NWS Fellows and alumni. The program pairs works rooted in Baroque practice with twentieth- and twenty-first-century compositions that engage directly with that tradition. Featured guest soloist Miles Haskins (NWS Fellow 2013–16) performs Thomas Adès’s Alchymia for clarinet quintet, a 2021 work drawing musical material from Elizabethan London and early English Baroque sources. The concert opens the 2026–27 chamber music season at New World Center.
