About this event
"This dance is wild, even the house itself is making music." The Seven Kingdoms Dance House series offers a relaxed, participatory atmosphere focused on Hungarian national culture. In 2026 the series expands its scope to introduce participants to the music and dance traditions of the 13 ethnic minorities living in Hungary — including Greek, German, Croatian and Gypsy communities. Each monthly event features performers from a specific region who teach characteristic dances and present the region's traditional instruments and folk costumes. This session centres on the German (Swabian) folk dances of Hungary with live accordion-led music, and is presented as part of the FELHANGOLVA! programme supported by the MOL New Europe Foundation.
