Mädchenschrift is a one-hour staged monologue for young audiences (14+) by Özlem Özgül Dündar, produced by the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe and staged by the Berlin-based feminist collective analyse schmitt kollektiv (Janina Haring and Laura Teiwes). The piece traces a young woman’s journey from childhood into adolescence, asking how gazes, comments and social expectations mark and shape a body seen as female. Three ensemble actors are joined by a six-voice FLINTA* ensemble from Karlsruhe to create a collective stage presence that refracts and amplifies the protagonist’s experiences. Awarded the Kaas & Kappes prize (2023), the text oscillates between description, (self-)exploration and manifesto, resisting imposed roles and asserting self-determination and bodily autonomy. Premiere: 22 June 2025 at the Insel; revival: from 11 October 2026 at the same venue.
