About this event

Presented by the Polish Royal Opera within its Opera on Tour 2026/2027 programme, this concert closes the jubilee 30th Mikołaj of Radom International Festival of Early Music. The approach follows historically informed performance practice, aiming for the intimate scale Handel knew—vocal and instrumental forces not exceeding around 60 musicians. The Polish Royal Opera’s soloists and chorus perform with the period-instrument ensemble Capella Regia Polona. Krzysztof Garstka leads from the harpsichord, combining continuo playing with conducting, and Karol Knapinski prepares the chorus. The sacred setting of the Minor Basilica Parish in Radom matches the work’s subject and supports the colours of period instruments. A bilingual (English/Polish) booklet with the libretto translation is provided for the audience.
