About this event
This is a concert presentation of selections from George Frideric Handel's oratorio Messiah, presented by Chattanooga Symphony & Opera under the site's Specials category. The event page identifies the Hallelujah Chorus as part of the program, but it does not publish a director, choreographer, set designer, costume designer, lighting designer, or other theatrical staging concept. Darrin Hassevoort conducts and directs both credited choral bodies. The named vocal soloists are Chelsea Guo, soprano; Ilanna Starr, mezzo-soprano; Lawrence Jones, tenor; and Joseph Parrish, bass. The performance is sponsored by the First Horizon Foundation, with guest-artist support from Leslie M. Westbrook and Paolo Frigerio. The two performances use different venues: First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga on December 5 and Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church in Collegedale on December 6.
