About this event

Peter Eötvös once called Studio Musikfabrik an exemplary model ensemble: here, young musicians on the threshold of their studies are guided by professionals to perform the repertoire of contemporary music. With its new program dedicated to dialogue between instrumental and electronic music, Studio Musikfabrik appears in the Concert Hall of the Folkwang University of the Arts. The university’s Ambisonic loudspeaker system—with more than 30 speakers—enables the realization of unique spatial sound. This contrasting program creates a field of tension between purely electronic, electro-instrumental, and purely instrumental music.
