About this event

This event is a public rehearsal visit ahead of the ballet production “The Nutcracker.” The aim is to give interested audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the ballet process and to witness how choreography takes shape step by step. The rehearsal takes place on the Aalto-Theater’s main stage and, depending on the production phase, is accompanied by orchestra, piano, or recorded music. The program opens with an introduction by the production dramaturg, who shares insights and highlights of the production. The event is part of Aalto Ballett Essen’s 2026/27 season and directly relates to the later premiere of “The Nutcracker.” Admission is €6.60; remaining tickets are available. This event is excluded from the TUP-card offer.
