About this event

Bar jeder Kunst — “France and Paris” is a musical-literary evening in the Bar jeder Kunst series at Theater und Philharmonie Essen, led by Artistic Director Torsten Kindermann. The format invites audiences to escape everyday life and dive into themed worlds around France and Paris: a musical “Taxi to Paris,” a stroll through the “Parc des Monceau,” celebrations of the city’s grand boulevards, and nods to Charles Baudelaire’s “Vin des Amants.” Live music, singing, and literary references blend with drinks, wine, and small bites — singing along is warmly encouraged, but simply listening is just as welcome. Throughout the season, the greetings change languages (Bienvenue! Welcome! Hoş geldiniz! Bienvenido! وسهلا), highlighting the convivial, multilingual spirit of the series.
