About this event

This workshop is part of Schauspiel Essen’s series of public workshops on current productions. Participants meet in the rehearsal room and receive exclusive insights into the rehearsal process of the production “The Wild Duck” from the dramaturgy team. After an introductory talk come warm-up acting exercises, icebreaker games, and a practical engagement with the staging — including discussion of the director’s aesthetic choices and the ensemble’s key means of conveying the content. Selected scenes are tried out hands-on, with participants speaking original text themselves. The group then attends the performance together and shares reflections afterwards.
