The world-famous Mahler Chamber Orchestra is one of those orchestras in which everyone is a star. The Mahler Chamber Orchestra brings with it a repertoire of lovingly arranged folk songs, a musical wedding anniversary gift, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s cheerful clarinet quintet. “When I work with folk music, I am always caught by the thrill of discovery.” Modernist composer Luciano Berio collected folk songs from old records, sheet music collections, and folk musicians and incorporated them into gentle accompaniments for the instrumental ensemble.
