About this event

This is a concert performance of Handel's Der Messias in Mozart's arrangement, rather than a staged opera or theatrical production. Handel's oratorio meets Mozart's re-orchestration, K. 572. Klaas Stok conducts the NDR Vokalensemble and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. Mozart's version uses a larger orchestra and instruments that did not exist in Handel's time. The production is part of a tour from 6 to 13 December 2026 through Hamburg, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Ghent.
