The New Fall Festival brings its curated concert concept to Opernhaus Düsseldorf for the first time in 2026. As part of the festival’s citywide series, BOY—the Swiss-German indie-pop duo of Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass—teams up with Hamburg’s Kaiser Quartett for a one-night crossover event. Known for songs like Little Numbers, July and Skin, BOY returns to the stage after an extended live break since 2019. The Kaiser Quartett, recognized for bridging classical chamber music and contemporary pop, features Amanda Bailey (violin), Jansen Folkers (violin), Ingmar Süberkrüb (viola) and Martin Bentz (cello) for this engagement, adding string-quartet depth to BOY’s catalogue. Their previous collaboration includes an acoustic release of Fit Back In (2021) and a joint concert at the Elbphilharmonie in 2017. The evening embodies the New Fall Festival’s mission to create unique musical moments in distinctive venues.
