Symphoniker im Foyer: Meistersänger*innen is a Sunday/public-holiday chamber-music matinee in the Deutsche Oper am Rhein’s “Symphoniker im Foyer” series, held in the elegant Foyer (1st Tier) of the Opernhaus Düsseldorf. Members of the resident Düsseldorfer Symphoniker and singers from the opera ensemble come together on select dates to perform familiar and lesser-known chamber works in an intimate setting. This programme is conceived in reference to the upcoming premiere of Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the same house one week later (11 October 2026). No specific cast or individual works are published at the time of writing. The format is approximately 90 minutes with one interval.
