About this event

A new production of the Broadway classic My Fair Lady at Deutsche Oper am Rhein’s Duisburg venue premieres on 6 November 2026. The staging is directed by Felix Seiler and conducted alternately by Dominic Limburg and Christoph Stöcker. Billed as “Der Broadwayklassiker: Vom Blumenstand in die High Society,” the musical is performed in German (German lyrics by Robert Gilbert) with German surtitles and is recommended for ages 12+. The creative team includes Nikolaus Webern (set), Sarah Rolke (costumes), Volker Weinhart (lighting), and Danny Costello (choreography), with dramaturgy by Katie Campbell. The chorus is prepared by Albert Horne. Performing ensembles are the Chor der Deutschen Oper am Rhein and the Duisburger Philharmoniker. The official premiere motif/hero image is credited to photographer Moritz Blumentritt.
