About this event
The opening Symphony Concert of the 2026/27 season is a pure instrumental programme featuring works by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and Rameau. It launches the season’s symphony series and highlights the French axis within the season’s arc. A guest conductor specializing in historically informed performance leads the Meininger Hofkapelle. Recorder soloist Lucie Horsch performs Vivaldi’s Op. 10 No. 2 on instruments from her collection and also appears in Rameau selections. A foyer introduction begins 45 minutes before the concert.
