The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra (FBO) presents a programme of unusually varied instrumentation at the Berlin Philharmonie's Chamber Music Hall. Ludwig van Beethoven's Great Fugue, in its orchestral version, is paired with Louis Spohr's Nonet in F major, a dialogue between strings and winds, and Felix Mendelssohn's youthful String Symphony No. 11 in F minor, scored for strings and timpani. Cecilia Bernardini directs the ensemble from the violin. Bernardini, recently appointed as the orchestra's artistic leader, leads this Berlin concert within the FBO’s 2026/27 season represented locally by Konzertdirektion Hans Adler.
