The Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation presents South Korean pianist Yunchan Lim in an all-Mozart piano recital at the Berlin Philharmonie’s Chamber Music Hall. Lim rose to international prominence in 2022 as the youngest-ever winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Part of the 2026/27 Subscription Series U (Piano), the recital precedes Lim’s planned concerto debut with the orchestra in May 2027 under Klaus Mäkelä. Devoted entirely to Mozart and structured in two halves with an interval, the programme features the graceful, rococo-tinged Sonata in D major K. 284, the dark Sonata in A minor K. 310, and the dramatic Fantasy in D minor K. 397. The evening follows a classic recital format: solo piano with no staging, enhanced by the Kammermusiksaal’s intimate acoustics.
