Part of Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord’s 26/27 music season, ASTOR PIAZZOLLA is a one-hour, no‑intermission concert devoted to the world of Astor Piazzolla’s nuevo tango. The Lausanne Soloists, a 20‑strong string ensemble from HEMU, perform under the artistic direction of cellist Xavier Phillips, who also appears as soloist. The presentation highlights the universal reach of Piazzolla’s musical language—instantly recognizable worldwide for its authenticity and for redefining tango’s aesthetic. The concert takes place in the Bouffes du Nord hall (37 bis boulevard de La Chapelle, Paris 10th).
