CAMERATA Salzburg joins forces with Belgian early-music ensemble Vox Luminis XL for a touring concert pairing Haydn’s Missa in angustiis (“Nelson Mass”) with Mozart’s Requiem. Directed jointly by concertmaster Gregory Ahss (from the violin) and Vox Luminis founder Lionel Meunier, the project features Vox Luminis soloists Gwendoline Blondeel (soprano), Marie Henriette Reinhold (alto), Raffaele Giordani (tenor), and Sebastian Myrus (bass), together with the Vox Luminis XL choir and the CAMERATA Salzburg orchestra. The programme situates both late‑18th‑century sacred works within the turbulent Revolutionary and Napoleonic era: Haydn’s mass, born of wartime anxiety and later nicknamed after Admiral Nelson, and Mozart’s unfinished, posthumously completed Requiem. The tour forms part of CAMERATA Salzburg’s 2026/27 season in its 75th‑anniversary year.
